SOFA/BENCH

A sofa/bench design conceived as a seat to sit ergonomically.  The pillows on the seatback can be shifted horizontally for the comfort of different sized people, or removed to become a bench.             

This piece is made of solid walnut including the curving back panels.  It was crafted by Berthold Schwaiger at his Chicago Bauhaus Academy. The seat is now a permanent part of Alan’s studio.
